MARBLE AND FIGURAL BRONZE MANTEL CLOCK, French, 19th century. The rectangular marble plinth clock is surmounted with a bronze sculpture depicting an Amazonian raider on horseback engaged in battle with a male Greek warrior, the two figures flanking a clock with gilt-bronze dial; the spring wound, 8-day, time & bell-strike movement complete with pendulum. Dimensions: 24″ H x 21.5″ L x 8.75″ D.

Condition report

698: Very good condition; the fallen soldier’s arm band which screws into shield will not screw into hole- not missing- just won’t attach; no missing parts or damage; original pendulum and bell; marble condition also good. Presently running. (rev)
