Good American Vernis Martin Mantel Clock, fourth quarter 19th century, by Bigelow, Kennard and Company, Boston, with gilt-brass mounts in the Louis XV style, the circular enamel dial with a rose garland inside the chapter ring and fully signed, the glass dial cover convex, h. 15″, w. 7″, d. 4-1/2″.

Condition report

Good American Vernis Martin Mantel Clock: The dial has no chips or cracks. Light stain to the left edge which may clean up. Good decoration. Some crazing and darkening to the surface. The mounts are tarnished. Pendulum is present; no winding key.
