French Patinated Spelter Figural Mantel Clock/Lamp, fourth quarter 19th century, in the style of Augustin Moreau (French, 1822-1912), the figure a scantily draped infant female sprite clutching floral sprays in each of whose blossoms is a ruby glass electric bulb, the movement by the Gilbert Clock Company of Winsted, Connecticut, and so touchmarked on the interior backplate, the enamel dial signed with the Gilbert “G” within a lozenge, h. 14″, w. 13-1/2″, d. 8″.
