French Marti & Cie Mantel Clock Garniture Set
late 19th – early 20th century, the clock with brass time and strike movement numbered “58” and having the maker’s name within a “Medaille de Bronze” stamp, the gilt metal case is marked “Made in France” on the back and is decorated with scrolled acanthus leaves and surmounted by a cupid in flight, a hand painted Serves style dial is framed by conforming porcelain plaques and columns, the whole rests upon a scalloped gilt and gesso base, DOA 20.75 x 13.5 x 6 in.; included are (2) porcelain and gilt metal urns of similar construction, both 16.5 in., accompanied by (2) wooden plinths in fair condition.

Condition report
Some light spotting to the clock’s back; key not present; chips and overall wear to the base; one urn is somewhat loosely affixed to its base. Overall a fine appearance.
