French Gilt Neoclassical Mantel Clock, the fire-gilt case with standing female figure with lyre beside a gadrooned pedestal with butterfly motif, promethean torch, garland, rose and a jester marotte unveiled, ormolu mounts in the base depicting a of pair winged caryatids playing trumpet and triangle, engine turned bun feet, 3 1/2 in. dia. porcelain dial with Roman numerals marked “Giteau Palais Royal N: 129”, engine turned center, Breguet hands and eight-day brass time and strike movement with silk thread suspension, ht. 13 1/2 in., (finger missing on outstretched hand).
