French Gilt Metal Figural Mantel Clock
Samuel Marti & Cie, Circa 1900
Having a two train movement striking on a bell, within a gilt metal chariot-form case surmounted by a gladiator driving two horses, above a purple veined white marble base with title plate inscribed Le Vainqueur. Dial signed ITSWEIRE/ HAZEBROUCK; movement stamped with S. Marti medallion and 283. Overpainting to metal; break to front leg of each horse.
