French gilt-bronze and marble mantel clock
circa 1848, retailed by tiffany, young & ellis
The enameled dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, set within a square case, flanked by a classical figure of the Muse of Science, raised on a stepped shaped rectangular base with fluted D-shaped ends.
NOTE:
According to documentation, clocks with this dial were only sold by Tiffany, Young & Ellis in 1848.
