French Empire Gilt Bronze Mantel Clock, early 19th century, Bertrand, Paris, the round enamel dial in flowerhead and leaftip surround, with paterae edged flat leaf border, the plinth body with shallow relief scene of Eros with Father Time, base with husk border, ht. 17 3/4 in.

Condition report

Gilding overall very good but slightly rubbed to middle shelf, to front of plinth base and to sides of socle, minor pitting and very scattered discoloration, lines near IX, X, and XI and above VI, V, and IV; works good; running condition unknown but probably okay.
