French Bronze and Siena Marble Mantel Clock, fourth quarter 19th century, of small size in the First Empire style, the dial of engine-turned gilded brass with black Roman chapters, with a convex glass cover, the finial an Antique-style basin with swan-headed serpent handles, h. 10-3/4″, w. 6-1/4″, d. 4-3/4″.

Condition report

The serpents at each side of basin need tightening . Engine-turned gilt brass dial is bright and convex glass in good condition. Numerals exhibit rubbing and paint loss. Dial marked “Lepine A Paris”. Marble plinth is fine. Works appear to be complete. NOTE: We make no representation that any timepiece is in working order.
