French Black Slate “Atlas” Mantel Clock, fourth quarter 19th century, the patinated bronze-mounted and incise-carved clock of small size, the concave gilt-brass dial with dished chapter reserves and a reticulated central boss, the glass dial cover beveled, h. 12″, w. 11-1/2″, d. 5-1/4″.

French Black Slate “Atlas” Mantel Clock: In “as found” condition. Dryness and dullness to the finish. Some wear to the dial. Very minor roughness along the edges. No apparent damage. Pendulum is present; no key. We are unsure if it runs.
