A gilt bronze neoclassical lady draped in a patinated robe, reading a book leaning against the tall arched clock case centering a white porcelain dial with Roman chapters signed “Galle Rue Vivienne No.9”. The lower case with relief allegorical frieze depicting Father Time and Urania over a lamp flanked by angels. The brass movement with silk suspension and countwheel strike on a bell. 22.75″ x 15.25″W x 7″D, Circa – 1830.
