Empire Ormolu Figural Mantel Clock
Kinable, Paris, First Quarter 19th Century
Having a two train movement striking on a bell, with silk-suspended pendulum and outside countwheel, within a drum-form ormolu case surmounted by a butterfly-drawn chariot on clouds driven by a putto, raised on a tapering base, the center with a bas-relief plaque of a sleeping goddess with putto. The white enamel dial signed Kinable/ Palais Royal N. 134. Chips to dial around winding holes; putto detached from chariot.
