Charles X Ormolu Figural Mantel Clock
Second Quarter 19th Century
Having a two train movement striking on a bell with silk-suspended pendulum and outside countwheel, within a square ormolu case surmounted by a winged figure holding a scroll and a lyre raised on a rectangular base with applied putto and musical trophy decoration. Some verdigris to ormolu dial; lyre originally mounted on base; lacking backplate of case.
