Asa Munger Mahogany “Flat Top” Mantel Clock, Auburn, New York, c. 1825, with carved columns flanking the full-length door and looking glass, decorated zinc dial surround framing the 9 in. dia. iron dial marked “A. Munger, Auburn,” printed maker’s label inside stating “A. Munger’s Patent, Eight-Day Clocks and Timepieces…Auburn, New York,” and eight-day time and strike movement with double compound weights, pulleys cast “Patent…Auburn,” tin cased weights and flying eagle pendulum bob, ht. 39 1/2 in.
