The three-trane movement with brass dial and silvered chapter, chime/silent, slow/fast, and Whittington/Westminster rings, signed Russells Ltd, 18 Church St, Liverpool, within a carved architectural style oak case, surmounted by a large dome ornamented with florals and surmounted by acanthus leaves, the front facade framed by two canted pilasters carved with florals and rosettes, each with a composite capital and topped with a small ribbed dome, the triangular pediment centered by a female mask, scrolling below, the sides and reverse with pierced scrolling backed with a silk lining
Condition Report:
Overall in good condition. The silk lining now faded on the proper right and the reverse, frayed in places on the reverse, and likely replaced on the proper left side. Surface wear and small losses along the keyhole and edges of the front door.
