Handsome American Nickel-Finished Mantel Clock, fourth quarter 19th century, by Ansonia Clock Company, of large “Carriage” form, the sides glazed, the circular dial black with gilded Roman chapters, retains the period double mercury pendulum, h. 17-1/4″, w. 11″, d. 7″.
Condition report
Handsome American Nickel-Finished Mantel Clock: There is a crack to the dial at the winding hole. Wear to the surface of the central metal plate of the face. Rubbing to the silver case and a crack to the left front foot. The rear glass panel is gone but elements of the metal frame are present. Pendulum present; no key.
