Second half 19th century, in the George II style, the silvered and gilt dial marked ”Tiffany & Co / New York, with Arabic chapters, a strike/silent dial, seconds dial and Whittington / Westminster chime dial, within an arched case with conforming door with glazed panel within a foliate-cast surround, with columnar uprights to front corners and handles to sides, on bracket feet, 20” H x 16” W x 9.5” D, est:$6000/8000

Condition report

Good condition overall. General marks, nicks and scratches commensurate with age. Some slight rubbing and darkening to bronze elements. With some fading to timber. With some minor cracking to timber in areas and with areas of overpainted restoration to timber. Mesh to rear door has torn away at one side. With pendulum, two door keys and one winding key. Works appear complete and original. Working condition unknown and not guaranteed.
