Late 19th century, the movement with Japy Freres pastille, also stamped ”13918”, reverse of foliate element of case stamped ”HCJ / 712”, the circular gilt-bronze dial inset with Roman enamel chapters within an asymmetric acanthus-cast case with a pair of putti, allegorical of music, seated at the base, 24” H x 20.5” W x 9.5” D, est:$5000/7000

Condition report

Good condition overall. Case nicely cast. Probably re-gilt. General light marks, scratches and rubbing to surface. With some casting cracks to back of lower foliate elements – does not affect stability. Hands oxidized. Back of movement loose. Movement appears original and complete. No key. No pendulum. Working condition unknown and not guaranteed.
