1 of Le Comtoises top model Clocks and 1 of it’s kind: A Giant French Marble and gilt,- bronze Mantel Clock from period C1855. The mechanism is: cleaned,- signed: Japy Freres & Cie Gd MED. D’ HONNEUR. This means: the mechanism was made by Japy Freres with a medallion of honour. The mechanism is also marked with number: 7480 which is also marked on the pendulem. The 8-day movement with silk suspension, outside counterwheel striking on a bell. The Roman figure on top is all bronze and with patina layer.
