A FRENCH GILT METAL MANTEL CLOCK
Late 19th-Early 20th Century
21-1/4 inches (54.0 cm) high

The circular dial with Roman chapters surmounted by the nude god Bacchus reclining on a panther skin, holding a bunch of grapes and a thyrsus, an oinochoe on the ground to the right, the rectangular case with a frieze of reveling cherubs and a young satyr, all raised on a stepped plinth, key included

Condition Report: Overall in good condition.  Minor surface wear and losses to the gilding throughout.  Some oxidation in places.
