A French brass four-glass eightday mantel clock, late 19th century, the bell striking movement with mercury compensated pendulum and stamped ‘John Bennett, London, 64 & 65 Cheapside’ to backplate, the two-piece white Roman numeral enamel dial with visible brocot escapement to centre, the case with cavetto cornice over caddy moulded angles and bevelled glasses, on plinth base incorporating bracket feet, 27.5cm high.
