A Fine 19th Century French Ormolu Mantel Clock surmounted by dark patinated bronze figures of dancing Bacchantes on a round flower-strewn base signed Mathurin Moreau. The round break-sided gilt case edged in beading & cast with bell-flower chains rising up the stop-fluted sides, ribbon-tied laurel garland borders, crests of scrolling acanthus leaves and garlands of fruiting vines festooned around the enamelled dial, 29 ins (74 cms) in height.
