Late 19th century black marble Egyptian Revival mantel clock with exterior incised decoration, porcelain dial, black Roman numbers and an open escapement. No apparent maker’s marks. Mechanism is stamped “3296” and “72”. Measures 17 1/4″ tall by 17″ wide by 7 1/2″ deep. Clocks mechanism works chimes on the hour and half hour, but only chimes three times on the hour. Minute hand sticks. Lower black marble side panels are separating from the base. See images. Approx. weight 65 lbs.
