1880 FRENCH MANTEL CLOCK. c.1880 French mantel clock, Belgian black slate body, broken pediment top, incised gilt decoration, inlaid diamond pattern sides with red varigated marble panels, key wind movement. Inscribed on front of clock: Cette Pendule et un a meublement de Salon ont cte presentes a Mr et Mme. J.G. Vaudreuil par six cents de leurs Amis Le 10 Fev. 1887. Beveled clock face cover, enameled clock face. Marked: circular mark stamped on back of clock mechanism (unclear). Size: 13”H, 20”W, 6 3/4”D. Condition: chips on edge, painted finish worn, lower side panel loose, two foot pads loose, backplate missing, all clocks sold as is.
