An early 19th century Scottish Grandfather clock. 8 day weight driven time and strike movement with original painted dial with subsidiary seconds and date dials, painted “Come under my Plaidie” scenic decoration in arch and Allegorical “Four Season’s” corners. Mahogany case with broken arch hood, carved rosettes and Brass Phoenix finial and shaped upper door flanked by fluted columns, rectangular waist door with shaped top flanked by fluted quarter columns above a simple molded base with bracket feet. In running order. Case refinished with minor wear, base with separations, restored feet. 87 1/2″ high overall. ESTIMATE $2,000-2,500
