A 19th century English grandfather clock. 30 hr weight driven time and strike movement with date aperture and round painted dial marked “J Brown, Matlock”. Oak case with broken arch crown, round hood door flanked by reeded columns, shaped waist door flanked by reeded quarter columns above a simple base with OGEE bracket feet. Old finish with wear and some damage, hands replaced, lacks weight and pendulum. 81 1/2″ high. ESTIMATE $600-800
