Charles R Sligh’ model 0233,limited edition #201 of 1,000 grandfather clock. Crafted in solid cherry and mahogany veneers handcarved pediment top moldings and pediment face with inlays of satinwood, ebony and maple in a field of crotch mahogany. Handcarved post ends ringed in glittering gold leaf gold leaf repeated along inside edges of upper and lower doors and fluted front columns. Front of entire front door is faced with beautiful hand rubbed crotch mahogany and inlaid satinwood borders. Hinged access doors with beveled glass center panels. Fabulous oversized moon dial with casted corner spandrels and center overlay. Engraved silver filled etched decor inside the corners and center sections. Brushed silver chapter ring with applied Arabic numerals. Polished brass lyre pendulum with casted overlay and etched center decor filled silver. From West Georgia home. 91″H X 27″W.
