Rare 18th century English moonphase tall case grandfather clock crafted by Winder and Houghton Chorley, with original brass ball spire finials, detailed bonnet, hand painted moon phase dial, with hand forged open work hands, subsidiary second function as well as date of the month function on a 2 weight drive train movement which chimes on the hour. The case is hand crafted from flame mahogany and satin inlays the lockable door crafted in Gothic form. There is crazing on the dial consistent with normal wear due to age and old restoration to the wooden finial just above the Winder Chorley signature. SIZE: 95″h, 23″l, 10″w. CONDITION: Very good, working, keeps good time and has a robust chime. ?
