French Empire gilt bronze figural clock

circa 1820

Depicting the blindfolded figure of Beauty stung by a reclining Cupid, the 4 in. diam. white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic number rings and signed ‘Deniere & Matelin’, on a green marble rectangular base with squat gilt bronze feet.
H: 22, W: 15 1/2, D: 8 in.
