A VERY FINE FRENCH NEO-CLASSICAL GILT BRONZE AND WHITE MARBLE GARNITURE 19th century, “Bacchanalia”, after the model by Claude Michel Clodion (French 1738-1814). The highly detailed chiseled figures of two maidens and a youthful satyr in a Dance of Bacchus rising on a circular white marble plinth with gilt bronze classical frieze with bronze terminal feet. Accompanied by two gilt bronze mounted carved white marble urns. The clock inscribed “Emile Colin & Co. Paris”, the figure inscribed “Clodion 1762”. Height of the clock 32.75 inches, the urns 22 inches high. Estimate $15,000-$20,000
