French bronze figural and marble mantle clock, the bronze statue cast as John “The Disciple” seated next to the arched clock case after having drank Emperor Domitian’s poison which turned into a serpent, resting on a stepped white marble plinth, the eight day movement with silk suspension and bell strike stamped: “Pons Medaille d’Or 1827, 3034.” Indistinct marks to dial. 15.5″H x 19.5″W x 6.5″D, Circa – 1860-1880.
