Here is an elegant and very nice turn of the century French Carriage clock. I had my clock man check it out and he said it’s a great clock but it needs a little work. He said it has a cylinder escapement that is worn and it should be replaced with a platform lever. The clock is fairly clean with not much wear. The face is in great condition except for a very small chip in the porcelain on the very top right corner of the face – you can’t see it if you are looking straight at the clock. It has beveled glass on all four sides and on the top. The design of the clock is impressive having a very shapely serpentine all the way around. It measures 6″ high including the handle x 3″ wide x 2″ deep. It comes complete with the key.
