A French gilt brass carriage clock with push-button repeat, Retailed by C.J. Klaftenberger, late 19th century. The eight-day gong striking movement numbered 5139 to backplate, with platform lever escapement and rectangular white enamel Roman numeral dial inscribed C.J. KLAFTENBERGER, 157 REGENT STREET, in a bevel-glazed corniche type case with hinged carrying handle, 13.5cm high excluding handle.
