Welch No. 2 Regulator Calendar Clock, painted tin dial Roman on chapter ring, outer minute ring marked with ticks, every 5 minutes bold, with inner days of the week, abbreviated radiating with SUN at noon, lower calendar dial is printed paper over tin with stamped brass surround, Arabic on chapter ring, inner months abbreviated with JAN at 1, 8-day brass time and date weight driven unmarked movement, interior with printed paper label with Extra Eight Day/Steel Pivoted, Rolling Pinion/Perpetual Calendar/Clocks/Both Weight And Spring/In Office, Mantle And Regulator Styles/Put Up In Rosewood Cases/Manufactured By/Welsh Spring & Co./Forestville, Conn. U.S.A. with directions below, second label printed on tin on inside of door with B.B. Lewis’s Perpetual Calendar/Patented Feb. 4 1862; Sept. 15 1863; June 21 1864; Dec. 29 1868/Manufactured By/Welsh Spring & Co./Bristol, Conn., U.S. with directions below, rosewood case with turned round bezel and straight sides with key lock lower door, all in original varnish finish, 4.5″ x 17″ x 30.25″ high.
