New Haven, CT and St. Louis, MO, late 19th century, brass time and strike movement, walnut case with arched glass-fronted door having “Fashion” across its center in gold lettering, painted tin hour dial with Dec. 28, 1875 patent date, inset seconds dial, similarly constructed date dial below reading SOUTHERN CALENDAR CLOCK CO. / ST. LOUIS, MO. and having a March 18, 1879 patent date, interior Seth Thomas manufacturer’s label.
