interior statement on the back advises against oiling and names the maker as Seth Thomas / Thomaston, Conn., a factory label on the back of the door states that the calendar “was set at one o’clock in the morning on June 1st 1876,” rosewood case, time and strike, double dial, the calendar dial with a bold patent date of Feb. 15th, 1876.

Condition report

Chipping and wear to the dials; interior door label lacquered and nearly illegible; with key and pendulum; brass hinges not original; the case clean and fee of distracting marks, not guaranteed to be complete or in working condition.
