Rosewood Calendar Clock by Welch Spring & Company, Forestville, Connecticut, c. 1875, a variant of the “Italian” model, with 4 1/2 in. dia. painted zinc dial, Roman numerals and day of the week, lower calendar mechanism with paper on zinc dial marked Lewis, pendulum aperture, printed maker’s label inside backboard and eight-day time only movement, ht. 17 in.
