“Italian No. 2” Rosewood Calendar Clock by Welch, Spring & Company, Forestville, Connecticut, c. 1875, with round top, gilded half columns flanking the glazed door, 4 1/2 in. dia. painted zinc dial with Roman numerals and day-of-the-week markings, lower section with black paper dial calendar and brass hands, maker’s label inside backboard, eight-day time and strike movement, ht. 16 in.
