Patent Timepiece or “Banjo” Clock, Aaron Willard, Jr., Boston, with mahogany case, rope molded gilt frames enclosing reverse-painted glasses, the lower depicting Lady Liberty and inscribed E. Pluribus Unum, the other inscribed Patent, brass side ornaments, painted iron dial inscribed A. Willard Jr., Boston, brass bezel and original eight-day weight-driven timepiece movement, (glasses are old repaints, case refinished), ht. 32 in.

Condition: movement is mounted with one machine screw through the backboard in the the Concord manner; movement is mounted on a period mahogany pad
