Mahogany Patent Timepiece or “Banjo” Clock, with gilt rope molded frames enclosing reverse-painted glasses, the lower depicting a War of 1812 ship battle, brass side ornaments flanking the midsection, painted iron dial with Roman numerals and eight-day weight-powered time-only movement, ht. 42 in.

Condition: glasses repainted, rope molded frames now bronze painted, lower pedestal replaced, movement original to case but additional metal supports added to the back of the backboard for add support for the movement.
