Mahogany Patent Timepiece or “Banjo” Clock, Massachusetts, circa 1815, with reverse painted glasses enclosed within flat frames, the lower glass depicting a country scene, the waist frame held by four brass machine screws and is flanked by brass side ornaments, 7 3/4 in. painted iron dial with Arabic numerals, eight-day time only movement with “T-Bridge” suspension, through bolts holding the movement in the case, recoil escapement, pendulum and lead weight, ht. 30 in.

Condition report

Condition: Dial is an old repaint, lower scene is original but restored, lower border and throat glass is repainted, lacking a finial.
