Mahogany Patent Timepiece or “Banjo” Clock, Concord, Massachusetts, with gilt rope-molded frames enclosing reverse-painted glasses, the lower of a country scene with stenciled border, brass bezel over the painted iron dial with Arabic numerals, diamond pattern hands and acorn finial, all housing an eight-day brass timepiece with step train, recoil escapement, pendulum and lead weight, (repairs and losses), ht. 33 in.

Condition report

Condition: frames bronzed painted and rope molding losses, throat glass broken and poorly restored, brass bezel hinge repositioned to outside of the case, lacking brass side ornaments, dial numerals relined
