Mahogany Patent Timepiece or “Banjo” Clock by Aaron Willard, Jr., Boston, c. 1820, with 7 1/2 in. dia. painted iron dial signed Aaron Willard, Jr. Boston, moon hands, half-round molding framing reverse-painted tablets, the lower of an eagle with outstretched wings over the pendulum aperture, eight-day time-only step-train movement with recoil escapement, pendulum and lead weight, ht. 33 in.

Condition: Glasses are probable repaints, finial is a replacement, dial and signature are undisturbed, period weight, pendulum and movement.
