Mahogany Patent Timepiece or “Banjo” Clock, Boston, Massachusetts, with brass bezel over the painted iron dial, side ornaments flanking the waist section, reverse-painted glasses, the lower depicting “Neptune” and two horses, and lower pedestal housing an eight-day weight-powered movement with pendulum and iron weight, (glasses and dial repainted), ht. 38 in.

Condition: movement probably had a fall-off strike at one time, spare holes in the front plate and carved relief in head section indicate a bell placement
