Mahogany Patent Timepiece or “Banjo” Clock, Alvah Skinner, Boston, with acorn finial, half round moldings enclosing reverse-painted glasses, the lower marked Long Wharf Boston, 1800, brass side ornaments, iron dial signed Alvah Skinner, eight-day weight-powered time-only movement with pendulum, (glasses repainted), ht. 33 in.

Condition: glasses repainted, dial and signature are undisturbed, movement held in case by projections through the backboard pinned to the back plate.
