Mahogany Patent Timepiece or “Banjo Clock”, Aaron Willard, Jr., Boston, c. 1825, with painted iron dial signed A. Willard, Jr., Boston, No. 2145, delicate steel, barbed hands and eight-day brass timepiece movement with lead weight and brass-faced pendulum all mounted in the case with filister head screws in the Willard manner, (wooden panels restored), ht. 33 in.

Condition: mahogany panels restored, an aluminum strip has been secured behind the movement for added stability in mounting the movement to the case, movement is original to the case, original hands, weight and pendulum, dial undisturbed including signature
