Mahogany Patent Timepiece or “Banjo” Clock, “Aaron Willard, Boston”, with rope molded frames enclosing reverse-paintings on glass, the lower of a castle and waterfront, gilded pedestal, brass side ornaments and bezel enclosing the painted iron dial signed Aaron Willard, Boston and eight-day brass weight-driven movement, (restored), ht. 42 in.

Condition report

Condition: rope molded frames, lower pediment, acorn finial and side ornaments are replacements, box section reconstructed, brass plate soldered to back of movement for additonal support in case, dial is an old repaint.
