LEMUEL CURTIS BANJO CLOCK. Concord, Massachusetts, enamel dial signed “L. Curtis Concord”. With an eight-day, weight-drive, time only movement. In a mahogany case with pine secondary wood and a carved drop and brass side ornaments. Appears to retain its original eglomise tablets, the lower tablet with an eagle and shield and “Patent”. Retains weight and pendulum. Older finish with good color, minor losses to eglomise, replaced finial. 40 1/4″h. 10″w. 4″d. Lemuel Curtis (1790-1857) was the nephew of Aaron Willard and he apprenticed in the Willards’ shop.
