Federal Mahogany Patent Timepiece or “Banjo” Clock, Massachusetts, c. 1815, with rope-molded gilt frames enclosing reverse-painted glasses with stenciled borders, brass side ornaments and bezel over a painted iron dial with Roman numerals, eight-day time only movement powered by an iron weight and regulated by a pendulum, (dial repainted, throat and box glass cracked, imperfections), ht. 34 in.

Condition: dial repainted, throat and box glass cracked, case refinished, slight loss to rope molding; movement, hands, pendulum, weight and both glasses are original.
