Federal Mahogany Patent Timepiece or “Banjo” Clock, William Grant, Boston, c. 1820, with mahogany veneered panels, wooden bezel, applied lower pedestal, 7 1/8 in. dia. iron dial signed “William Grant, Boston,” eight-day time-only movement with pendulum and lead weight, (imperfections), ht. 42 1/2 in.

Condition: dial and signature undisturbed, original hands, pendulum and weight, flaking around winding hole, finial probably an old replacement, lower mahogany panel a possible replacement,
